OFFICIAL RULES.

HOW TO PLAY:

It's simple. Visit the official ULTIMATE CONTEST THREAD to participate AND read the rules before entering. Also, check out the Player Safety page.

 

Winners will be chosen between the start time (the time the ULTIMATE CONTEST THREAD is created) and the specified time (currently to be announced). Many prizes will be given away, however grand prizes are limited. There will many opportunities to win. Directions for how to play are posted HERE. Shannoncole & ContestKeeper will be the ONLY Trainer Corner accounts that are approved to create contests for the prizes located on the 'Contests' page. Any other contest posted within the thread is NOT allowed and is considered spam. If you see one, DO NOT participate. Below 'UCT' refers to the 'ULTIMATE CONTEST THREAD'.

 

  1. Limit one (1) entry per person (not account) per contest post. (There will be multiple chances to win a prize. Each person is limited to one (1) entry per game)

  2. No profanity allowed on the UTC.

  3. No spamming the UTC. This includes ANY post or reply made that does not directly concern the contest itself. If you spam, your pending prizes will be removed as well as your points.

  4. No copying answers, if you accidentally reply with the same answer you will be asked to edit your answer (in some cases). Some contests may require private answers that will be submitted through the TC.

  5. Prize transfers are NOT allowed. You may trade the pokemon that you win, but do NOT discuss trading your prizes on the contest thread.

  6. Only TC accounts created BEFORE the contest are allowed to participate. Please understand this rule is intended to help reduce fraudulent participation.

  7. Questions concerning the UTC MUST be sent via private message to Shannoncole to keep the UTC clear of confusion. If a question occurs multiple times it will be clarified within the rules.

  8. ABSOLUTELY NO POSTING OTHER CONTESTS WITHIN THE 'ULTIMATE CONTEST THREAD'. This behavior may confuse the participants and is strictly forbidden.

 

Please note that rules may be added or edited to suit the contest and will NOT affect the outcome of the participants or their winnings

 

*EVERY PLAYER IS GUARANTEED A PRIZE BY THE END OF THE GAME. Review the OCG and Player Safety pages for more information.

The points system was designed to be easily understood.

THE SYSTEM WORKS AS FOLLOWS:

Points are awarded to players as they win OR participate in the OFFICIAL CONTEST GAMES (OCG)

As OCG's are announced, players who win will receive 10 points and players who do NOT win, but attempted to win receive 5 points.

At the end of the OCG's, points are added up and the players who accumilated the most points will recieve GRAND PRIZES.

 

For Example:

PrettyPink: 85 pts

Snorlax_Man: 90 pts

PikachuPerson: 70 pts

BlueMoonMan: 50 pts

SkittySkatty: 45 pts

 

In this example, Snorlax_Man is the 1st place grand prize winner. PrettyPink is in second place. PikachuPerson is in third place. The other players did NOT place in the top three and are therefore NOT grand prize winners. (These names are made-up. If one of these is your name on the TC or TPPC you may request that we change the example names)

NOTE TO PLAYERS: IF YOU MAKE A FALSE REPORT THAT RESULTS IN THE TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT BANNING OF THE CONTEST MODERATORS YOU WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM PARTICIPATING IN ANY CONTEST BY Shannoncole OR ContestKeeper.

 

To protect the privacy of the alledged 'reporters' we will NOT be publishing your names, however, we believe you know who you are. If you have made a false report do NOT contact Shanncole or ContestKeeper about it on the TC or bother asking for a second chance to participate. We do not want the other players to be knocked out of the contest because of false reports. This does not mean you shouldn't report something that is actually against the rules. If you believe you are one of the people mentioned above and you join the contest do not expect prizes and/or points to be awarded to you. Your participation will be ignored.

1. No trading in here, this is not an auction place.

2. All contests should be held in here. Any fake and scamming contests will get you permanently banned from the forums and the RPG.

3. Before you hold a contest, make sure you link your account. And a tip to those entering a contest, make sure to see if the person holding the contest has their account linked yet or not and if they actually have the Pokemon to save yourself some time.

4. Only make contests that are fair for everyone. Anything less would be considered a scam and you will be banned.

5. Do not make contests that links to other sites/communities/games. To clarify for some who are not understanding, this means no 'referral' contests or any contests requiring signups to other sites for prizes.

6. Hold contests on TPPC, either on the forums here or in the chatrooms, do not take it to other sites/chatrooms/communities and especially not through other instant messaging programs such as msn or AIM.

7. Posting of images not created by you is copyright theft, so do not submit them for any contests. Just altering images that are or aren't Pokemon but actual creation by someone else is called plagiarism and also should not be used. Both of the aforementioned and anything else close to those are a form of scam and will get you permanently banned from both the RPG and Forums.

8. Do NOT make contests simply to get the rate on something. It is constantly said that there is not a set value on ANYTHING. All contests looking for rates are the same as any other rate thread in trades and will be locked now.

9. I've been getting a lot of messages from members that want to hold contest(s) with legendary dogs or other non-tradable Pokemon as the prize and require a transfer to do so. The general answer is no due to the possibility of lies and abuse that can come of this. Unless you can get a SuperModerator to be the judge of your contest and pick the winner, we will not transfer for you.

10. Contests that require participants to donate Pokemon are allowed. Make sure that the contest holder actually has the prize though.
